Day1. YANGON (arrival)
Upon arrival at Yangon, check into your hotel. A uniformed host
will invite you a welcome drink and collect your tour program
from our tour guide.
Sightseeing will start with the famous world renowned pagoda;
the highlight of Yangon. Shwedagon pagoda described by Somerset
Maugham: "The Shwedagon rose superb, glistening with its
gold, like a sudden hope in the dark night of the soul of which
the mystics write, glistening against the fog and smoke of the
thriving city". This massive bell-shaped stupa rises nearly
100 meters above its hill-top surroundings. Wander through this
magnificent structure and its courtyards, stupa, bells, temples
and Buddha images and see religious and secular visitors from
all parts of the globe. Shwedagon has become the symbol of Myanmar.
And visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda (72m long Buddha image), Karawaik
Hall(designed as a Royal Floating Barge on Royal Lake) for Kodak
moment and finally visit the famous shopping centre in Yangon;
the Scott Market and come back to hotel.
In the afternoon, visit China Town area with various local foods,
Indian ward with various street sellers and drive to Mawtin Jetty
and take a rickshaw for a short trip along the Rangoon River that
offers a remarkable atmosphere with spectacular colors for Kodak
moment. Overnight at hotel.
Day2. YANGON-MYITKYINA-TANAING (with domestic morning flight)
Early morning, the domestic flight will take you to Myitkyina
(the capital for Kachin State). Upon arrival, we will proceed
to Tanaing (120 miles away from Myitkyina) app: 6 hours driving
with car on the Ledo road; a famous cross country (from India
to China) road during the World War II. We will pass through more
than 8 villages (Dun Bone, Lawar, Dun Ban, Naung Mi, Warazut,
Schduzut, Tainkauk, Kaunra) living with tribal people in Kachin
State. On the half way to Tanaing, we will have our lunch at Bugar
restaurant in Dun Ban village. From the restaurant, you can see
beautiful scenery of a creek with local people are taking a bath
and washing. After lunch, we will proceed to Tanaing. Near Warazut
village, you can see the old Air Field that the American used
as transit airfield for carrying fuel during World War II. On
the way, you can see lovely villages with small Churches, orange
plantation, great fruit plantation and wildlife corridor for animals.
In the evening, we will arrive at Tanaing, a beautiful town with
Tanaing creek. Upon arrival, check into your Guest House and take
a break. There is a bridge on Tanaing creek, you can enjoy the
sunset from this bridge. In Tanaing, we will go to WCS department
and the forest officer will welcome and explain about the tiger
safari's in Hukaung valley. We will have our dinner at Hein Htat
San restaurant and overnight at Thandar Tun Guest House.
Day3. TANAING-HUKAUNG VALLEY (SHIN BWE YAN VILLAGE)
After breakfast, we will proceed to Hukaung valley with 4 wheel
pick-up truck. On the way, we will pass trough beautiful Tawan
creek and Tarone creek. You can see some animals such as monkeys,
deer's, wild rooster,eagles and other beautiful birds. Near
the bank of Tarone creek, we will have our lunch at Kyun Yeik
local restaurant. And we will proceed to Shin Bwe Yan village.
On the way, we will have to cross many creeks with clear water.
We will arrive at Shin Bwe Yan village in the evening and check
into Lin Guest House. Take a break and you can visit the surrounding
area with beautiful market place and beyond market place you
can see another air field that had been used by American during
the World War II. Have your dinner at Lin local restaurant and
overnight.
Day4. HUKAUNG VALLEY
After breakfast, the forest ranger will come and introduce you
and he will arrange the tracks and trails for your tiger safari's
in deep Hukaung valley. We have to walk another 3-5 miles away
from this village. And we will go into the deep jungle crossing
the beautiful creek and we can have our lunch near these creeks.
The people from WCS department will do a camp and we will keep
an eye on tiger and overnight with our own tents.
Day5. HUKAUNG VALLEY
The whole day for Tiger Safari's and will overnight with our
own tents.
Day6. HUKAUNG VALLEY- SHIN BWE YAN VILLAGE
The whole day for Tiger Safari's and in the afternoon, we will
come back to Shin Bwe Yan village and take a break at Lin Guest
House. Have your dinner at Lin local restaurant and overnight.
Day7. SHIN BWE YAN-TANAING
Today we will come back to Tanaing. In the late afternoon, we
will arrive at Tanaing and take a short break at Thandar Tun
Guest House. And you can walk and visit the small town with
various kinds of Tea Shops with local people are watching the
video CD, MTV and Karaoke.
Day8. TANAING-TAWAN CREEK
After breakfast, we will proceed to a small forest department
and will take the elephant riding along the beautiful Tawan
creek. We will go to the bank of Tawan creek and deep jungle
for tiger safari's.
Day9. TAWAN CREEK
The whole day for Tiger Safari's and will overnight with our
own tents.
Day10. TAWAN CREEK-TANAING
The whole day for Tiger Safari's and in the evening, we will
come back to Tanaing and overnight at Thandar Tun Guest House.
Day11. TANAING-TAWAN CREEK-TANAING
After breakfast, we will do another beautiful trip with boat
along the Tanaing creek and you can see some wild animals. In
the evening, we will come back to Tanaing and overnight at Thandar
Tun Guest House.
Day12. TANAING-MYITKYINA
Today, we will come back to Myitkyina with car on the same Ledo
road. Have lunch at Bugar restaurant in Dun Ban village and
proceed to Myitkyina. Upon arrival, check into Xing Xang hotel.
Have dinner at local Chinese restaurant and take a stroll at
Night market in Myitkyina.
Day13. MYITKYINA-MYITSONE-MYITKYINA
After breakfast, we will go to Myitsone (the confluence of Mighty
Ayeyarwaddy River) appr: 2 hours. On the way to Myitsone, you
can visit the famous Kachin Manaw Festival compound with traditional
post mark. And many tribal villages are with beautiful Churches
and Kachin Bible College. Upon arrival at Myitsone, you can
get a Kodak moment with beautiful backdrop of Maykha and Maylikha
River which formed a beautiful confluence for Ayeyarwaddy River.
You can take a walk at stony and sandy bank with local small
shops selling local C.S (country spirit) and fresh grilled river
fish. Have the lunch at Myitsone and come back to Myitkyina.
Take a break at hotel and visit the downtown area with beautiful
market and busy Strand road. You also can visit a famous reclining
Buddha image and traditional weaving for Kachin Longi (sarong)
famous for Myanmar people and Kachin Bag for students. Have
dinner and overnight at Xing Xang hotel.
Day14. MYITKYINA-YANGON (with domestic morning flight)
Today, we will come back to Yangon with morning flight. Upon
arrival, check into your hotel and take a short break. Free
at leisure on your own (or) you can do the rest of sightseeing
in Yangon. Have dinner at local restaurant and overnight at
hotel.
Day15. YANGON (departure)
Today, the tour ends with the breakfast at hotel and transfer
to Yangon International Airport for your departure.
